Snow in September

We woke up to snow this morning. It was just a light frosting but it was still snow in September. I was thinking about it on the way to work and I think June and August were the only months that we haven't been snowed on since moving to Calgary. Not that I'm complaining...I'm merely observing. Things are very different here.

Front Panel Goodness

Today is my first day wearing genuine maternity clothes to work. Angela came over with a bag full of expandible waistbands and loose shirts last night and it was better than Christmas! After tearing through the bag trying everything on in a frenzie, I selected 3 shirts and one denim skirt (which I'm wearing today and loving). When I wear my bigger clothes, I really don't look pregnant - just chubby. With these new clothes, all that looks big is my belly. Best of all, my stomach doesn't hurt from sitting with a waistband and belt digging into it all day. Tonight I'm going to see a play with Ashley, Melinda and Brent (free tickets from Brad at GGRP) and it'll be so nice to be happy and comfortable in my outfit.

16 week update

4 months pregnant. My jeans are still wearable but the waistband is getting pretty tight. It's nice having a wee belly to show off to the world. We did a tracing of it this week and will do one each month from now on just to chart my growth. I'm really looking forward to feeling a kick or some sort of movement - supposedly that can happen any time now. I had a dream last night that I could put my hand on my belly and feel the baby's heartbeat...if only that was true!
