The Clapper
Molly learned how to clap this weekend. She clapped for the first time after dinner on Saturday night. Sunday was Auntie Rapper's Christmas party. Before going I decided to have some kraft dinner for lunch. Molly and Noel had already eaten...now up until this point in Molly's life she's been fed homemade organic baby food, and other homemade treats. I've been eating a lot healthier too since she eats almost everything I eat. So when I start eating my KD, over she comes looking for a bite. I thought she'd turn her nose up at the chemical covered tubes of goodness but NO she started clapping immediately after her first bite. And continued to clap with every subsequent bite. She even got grumpy when it was all gone. A girl who claps for Kraft Dinner...she must be my child!
Baby Christmas Party
Some of the birth class women and their babies came by on Friday for one last playdate before I go back to work. It's incredible how mobile and independent they are all getting. We could actually sit on chairs and enjoy our tea and cake for a change.

Loving the walker and rocker
I love watching Molly try new things. She is having so much fun motoring around with the walker...until she hits an obstacle and then she gets so mad. She hasn't quite figured out how to turn the walker so she gets mad quite often. Step step step couch yell step step step chair yell step step step mirror look at herself yell...you get the idea. If only we had a bigger/emptier house.
Molly also recently discovered the rocking chair my parents gave me when I was little. She doesn't quite know how to rock herself yet and it'll be a while until her feet will touch the ground but she sure does love sitting in it while I rock her.
Today Molly was at the dayhome again and when I went to pick her up Suzanne said "man does she ever have a temper!"...I prefer to think she is strong willed.
Last gymboree class
Yesterday was our last gymboree class so I decided to go out with a bang...I took Molly to preview the level 3 class from 1:15 to 2:15 and then stayed for our regular level 2 class from 2:15 to 3:15. Molly really enjoyed the level 3 class (too bad she'll never go again). It was neat seeing all the kids running around. It's amazing how much they change from month to month.
The level 2 class was full of cameras for our last day. It's hard to believe I won't be seeing these little kids continue to grow and develop. I'm really going to miss Gail...and I know Molly will to. Each week Molly would motor over to give Gail hugs. If only Gail would babysit!

Molly's new walker
Deb "the neighbour that keeps on giving" gave Molly this walker today. Noel set her up on it and off she went. She was zooming all over the livingroom and kitchen (with a bit of help steering). The best part was how proud she was of herself.
Today was also her first long day at the dayhome. I cried a bit about it last night but it actually went really well. She wasn't too upset when I left her this morning. Suzanne was able to get her to eat/drink some breastmilk. The only thing she didn't do well was nap. Not bad at all. She has another long day Thursday. It was strange running around doing errands without her today.
