Moments with Molly

I realize I've been horribly lax in developmental updates on Molly so here are some of the things she's doing these days that keep us amazed and amused.

A couple of weeks ago she started to 'read along' with her favourite stories. She's able to remember and predict what comes next in almost every book we read regularly.

She's started to say "Thanks much" whenever you give her something or do something for her.

She's loving sleeping with her Hippo and she continually talks about the last time we were at the zoo when she got to see the 'Gorilla pee pee' and the 'Tiger pee pee' and the 'Hippo poop'. Exciting times. It's really, really funny when she wakes up at 4 am and wants to discuss these events - not.

She's gone from calling Grace a random gutteral sound, to Gee Gee and now she calls her Grace MacDonald...I guess she hears Sherri call Grace by her full name because she's in trouble more than we imagined.

She likes to put her 'babies' and dollies into her crib and sternly tell them "Go sleep NOW".

She puts her hands on her face like the kid from home alone and exclaims "What was that?" when she hears a sound she doesn't recognize.

Her favourite show right now is Curious George and if it's not on she wants us to just scroll through the cable guide while she says "I looking for you George!".

She's still loving listening to Splash n Boots and now she even tries to dance along to "Way OH".

That's all I can think of right now. It's so great seeing her thinking progress and seeing her ability to communicate develop. She still has moments of frustration when she can't quite figure out how to let us know what she wants but they are becoming less frequent.

Auntie Rapper's Wedding

Molly got to be one of Michelle and Jordan's flower girls a couple of weekends ago. It was so incredible to be able to share in the celebrations with them and to see Molly in her first 'grown-up' role. She was a star! She made it down the aisle without any fuss (thanks to her soother) and even managed to stay up at the front for a little bit before coming running looking for "MOM". I can't wait to see the professional photos.
