Family Day in Ottawa

We had a fabulous trip to Ottawa for the Family Day long weekend. Nancy was kind enough to give us points tickets so we could go and visit Noel's grandparents. This was the second time Molly had been to see Grandma and Grandpa Flatters' house. I was amazed at how much she remembered from her last flight. We got the bulkhead seats both ways which was great. It was Molly's last free flight and while it will definitely suck having to pay a full-price ticket for her to fly I am looking forward to her having her own seat. Noel ended up with me on his lap for part of the flight because Molly thought she should have her own seat.

We arrived Friday afternoon and Molly immediately wanted to 'go home' but we convinced her to stick around for a visit. Friday night Tracey came to meet Molly and then she and I went to Starbucks for a visit. Saturday we met up with Ang, Derek and Elliot (friends from our birth class) and Dave, Deb and Helen and Melia and her two kids at the Children's Museum. Man is that place awesome! The kids loved it. Molly was so excited to see Elliot again.

Sunday we had a family breakfast/birthday party for Molly. Dave, Heather, Ryan, Amy and Katie all came. It was so great. Molly just loved Katie. She's just old enough to be able to show Molly the ropes of new things like Aquadoodle!

Monday it was back to the airport for our trip home. The one thing Molly was really looking forward to was watching the doodlebops on the plane but no luck...I didn't think she'd make the 4+ hour flight without her beloved TV but she did amazing. She just played with her dolls and napped and was generally a 'good passenger' (her words).

I'm so glad we got to go and spend some quality time with G&G Flatters. We miss them both so much and they are so great with Molly.
