A quick note
I realize that I'm falling so far behind in documenting both Molly and Jake's lives because I'm constantly waiting to find time to download pictures. Or realizing that I haven't taken any pictures at huge events (like Thanksgiving yesterday). So I thought I'd just write a couple of things that they are doing that I don't want to forget.
Jake is walking more than crawling now. The tipping point happened this past weekend. All of a sudden he was walking all over the house. And even outside on uneven grass. He is still holding his hands up in the air when he walks like he's in a constant state of surrender but that makes it all the more cuter!
Molly decided to start a field journal this past weekend. She walked around the house with her notebook and pencil all weekend. In it, she draws inventions, copies words and pictures from around the house and generally, just plans her scientific life. She told me she wants to be a city bop kid (ktel mini pops), scientist when she grows up.
Jake and Molly are getting lots of time playing on the play structure in the backyard because the weather has been sooooo nice. Jake is trying to figure out how to get himself up the rope ladder. I think we need to build him a ramp. He loves going down the slide backwards all by himself. The slide is so big/steep that he flies off the end.
Molly is going through a bit of a naked phase. She loves taking off all her clothes and just being naked. Or if she can't do that, she makes up super hero costumes that require her to be next to naked with just her panties and some sort of scarf that covers her boo boos and a cape of course. Too funny.
Molly has slept every night since she started going to Jenny's dayhome with Jake. I can't even begin to describe how happy we all are to be getting full nights of sleep.
Molly has discovered carrot cake. She woke me up one day last weekend by saying she was 'starving' for carrot cake. How could I not make her one right that instant!
