Halloween 2010

Jake and Molly had a good Halloween. The weather cooperated which is always nice. Jake made it to a few houses on the street before I dragged him home for bed. Molly loved racing around the neighbourhood in her Batgirl costume. Her quote of the night was "Back off creeps". She is such a superhero!

Day at the Zoo

I got some 'Behind the Scenes with the Giraffes' tickets for Molly and I from work. We lucked into an awesome fall day. Sadly the Zoo was PACKED because (unknown to us) it was Prince and Princess day, which meant that everyone was dressed in costumes. We had an amazing time together. The weather was perfect. We spent most of our time in the Canadian Wilds which wasn't that busy. And then we met up with a bunch of people from work for the tour of the Giraffes. We learned a lot (some stuff was pretty gross). I got to feed the giraffes carrots but Molly was too afraid to. And afterward, we got to get a good look at the lions who where looking for their supper.

Dress up fun

Molly entertains us daily with her ideas for new outfits and looks. She's even started drawing her own designs (inspired by Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale I'm sure).

More from Jake's Birthday

Molly was incredibly excited to give Jake his birthday gift. She picked out a cool truck and funky letters to spell his name on the door to his bedroom. She even helped him open the gift. To this day, Jake loves driving his truck around the floor while he says vrrrm vrrrrm.

Summer Fun

The last part of summer was glorious. We really tried to make the most of the last bit of my mat leave by squeezing in more backyard picnics and trips to Callaway Park.
