No teef. No teef.
Molly yanked her first baby tooth from her lower jaw as Noel drove her home from school yesterday. It had been lose for ages. Her original bet with me is that it would come out before Halloween - no such luck! Earlier in the day she'd been eating cold pizza and that turned her loose tooth into a tooth barely holding on. Thanks to a show called "Jane and the Dragon" Molly believes that the tooth fairy brings trinkets in exchange for teeth. And the tooth fairy did not disappoint. Molly put her bloodied tooth in
to a small tooth bag and was happy to find it exchanged for a bottle of nail polish. Happy days!

I can't eat that. I am DISEASED!!!
That's right. The verdict is in. I have Celiacs Disease - just like my Poppy did. I was diagnosed about 4 or 5 weeks ago when I got my positive intestinal biopsy results back from the Gastro Intestinal specialist. The weeks leading up to finding out for sure I went on a bread eating rampage. I went to Cobbs bakery in Crowfoot and bought cinnamon buns, an apple loaf, butter tarts, spinach feta twists, ham and cheese twists, and a couple of loaves of nice plain old white bread to round out the order. It made me feel pretty sick but I'm glad I did because now I don't really miss bread at all. I've been gluten free or as gluten free as I can be since the diagnosis and I'm feeling pretty good. It's been an adjustment for everyone. Lots of reading. Lots of internet research into restaurants. But Noel says he sees a huge difference in my energy and mood since making the switch. I feel a lot better than I have in a long time. I'm so glad I'm working freelance now as well since it gives me more time to cook and figure out eating without having to do that in an office environment where I would probably always feed deprived. So that's my scoop. Diseased and happy. Who knew?!?!?
