Adventures in Calgary

My Granny Smith passed away today around 2 pm Ontario time. She was my great grandmother on my dad's side. She was 108 years old. Luckily, I'd been to see her recently while I was home getting my house ready for the great house swap. I didn't get to visit with her long because she was pretty tired and not feeling that great but I did get to hug her and kiss her and tell her I loved her. Leaving her room that day, I kinda knew it was probably going to be the last time I would see her. I am so fortunate to have had her in my life this long. It saddens me that my children won't get to meet her. It's really hard living away from family when things like this happen. I don't know if I'll get home for her funeral.

I love you Granny Smith. I will carry you with me forever. Thanks for sharing so many of your years with us.
