3 months...aka 12 weeks...aka "the end of the tireds"

I am 12 months pregnant this week. This is usually the time people start to share the good news with family and friends but we couldn't wait so we started telling people around week 5 or 6. The pregnancy is going well so far (knock on all things wood)...no morning sickness! My 2 biggest complaints have been #1 - incredibly sore breasts and #2 - unending, all consuming tiredness. Not the worst complaints in the world at all. In fact, I know I'm getting off easy. That being said, I'm still looking forward to the new found energy that I've heard comes along with the second trimester. So far we've had 2 ultrasounds (you can see the first one at http://jitbag.blogspot.com/ under the date of August 17th, and the second at http://www.noelflatters.com/sono.swf). I really wish they allowed people to get ultrasounds once a month for the entire pregancy - it's just so cool to see what's going on in there! We've decided we want to know the sex of the baby as soon as possible but no word on that yet (I guess I'll need another ultrasound - YAY!). I've already noticed that I'm able to stay up a bit later each night so maybe the rumours are true and I will in fact start to feel less like a zombie and more like a real human being soon. I've also noticed that my pants are getting tighter around the waist...this morning at Curves I was informed I had gained 2 inches in my waist in the last month and one pound. So it begins!
