Adventures in Calgary

Molly and I are seven months along today. We had our check-up (bi-weekly now) on Friday and it went really well. My belly is measuring right on, my weight is good, my blood pressure is staying on the low side but that doesn't seem to be a problem. Molly's heart rate was 140 beats per minute this week. Because I'm Rh negative, I had to get a shot in the butt on Friday too. I'd been dreading this since finding out about it months ago. Funny how big things can become in your mind. I was damn scared! Turns out it was really, really easy. I hardly felt a thing. So much worrying for nothing.

Nancy and Elaine were here this past weekend for a visit. Nancy is 16 weeks now and just starting to show. We had a great visit. We didn't quite get to all I'd planned for us but we made a valiant attempt. They were troopers braving Calgary's evil cold weather with only the occasional screams.

So with their visit come and gone, the next big thing for us is Christmas! When I first realized we were going to be here on our own for the holidays I was pretty disappointed. Now, I can't wait! We have such little down time these days! I'm hoping to get lots of relaxing and cuddling in over the holidays - our last holidays before our wee Molly arrives.
