Adventures in Calgary

This has been a busy month so far. Molly has started attending a new preschool dayhome two days a week and seems to like it so far. She's also started her Salamander swimming lessons in Cochrane. I was a bit worried her first lesson when I saw she had a male teacher (she was terrified of her first male teacher) but she loves Matt and is doing amazingly well. This past week was the parented lesson. I took her early so we could have some practice time before the lesson and she was dunking her head in the water and jumping in all by herself before her lesson even started. Then it was off to the deep end of the big pool with lifejackets. Again she was so great - jumping in, floating by herself and swimming the entire length of the big pool.

We put the Christmas tree up really early this year so that grandma Nancy could be here to help out. Molly loved putting up all the ornaments. And then she used the tinsel to pretend she was a Christmas Cheerleader - what a concept!

Jake is doing well. He is more active everyday. We've been practicing rolling but he hasn't quite done that himself yet. Only once and I think that was an accident. He smiles loads - and I've tried to capture some of those smiles but mostly he just smiles at people - not the camera!
